The comparison of adjectives!


Now we are going to learn how to compare adjectives

Monosyllabic adjectives are compared with -er, -est.

For example:

·         My dog is bigger than yours.

·         My dog is the biggest of all

Disyllabic adjectives ending with y, er, ow, le are compared with -er, -est.

 For example:

·         Which is the easiest exercise?

·         John is the happiest guy I have ever met.

·          

All the other adjectives are compared with more, most.

For example:

·         You have to be more careful.
